The PenFed Foundation is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2001 that is committed to helping members of our military community secure their financial future.
We provide service members, veterans, their families and support networks with the skills and resources they need to improve their lives through programs on financial education, credit-building, home ownership, and short-term assistance.
Affiliated with PenFed Credit Union, we have the resources to effectively reach military communities across the nation, build strong partnerships, and engage a dedicated corps of volunteers in its mission.
We work to ensure that those who selflessly devote their lives to defend our country have the resources they need for a secure financial future. We work to prevent medical emergencies from turning into financial hardships for our nation's defenders and partner with other organizations to have the greatest impact on meeting unmet needs.
We strictly follow all IRS guidelines and provide transparency on how your contributions are used:
- PenFed Credit Union funds the PenFed Foundation's personnel and most operational costs, demonstrating its strong commitment to the programs we provide.
- Support for our programs come from both private and corporate donations.
- The PenFed Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization; donations are tax deductible.
